This became a huge issue since our household is pretty dependent on the internet (For school work, VoIP, and streaming of various movies/music). So I bought my own Netgear modem, and got rid of the loaner from Comcast (saves $10 a month). Also, the internet light doesn't go out on the router, and usually there isn't even any problem indicated in windows except from the internet just not working.
